SAVE THE DATE! The Lansing Board of Water & Light’s 22nd annual Chili Cook-off is back on Friday, September 29 from 5:30-9pm at the Adado Riverfront Park near downtown Lansing.

This year’s theme is music, and our vendors are ready to rock. Dozens of Lansing chili masters will be drumming up gallons of chili, including local restaurants, nonprofits, businesses and organizations. From spicy hot to vegetarian, they’re ready to fight to win awards including People’s Choice and Best Meatless.

Back again this year is the merchandise tent, a family area and the chili dog eating contest, where participants will race to eat as many chili dogs as they can in 4 minutes. Fitting with the theme, there will also be plenty of live bands playing and competing in a Battle of the Bands. More ticket scanners and admission chutes will also be added to ensure a speedy entrance.

Proceeds from the Chili Cook-off will benefit Pennies for Power, Impression 5 Science Center and the H.O.P.E. Scholarship Program.
