The Lansing Board of Water & Light Board of Commissioners elected new officers for 2016-17 and welcomed a new member yesterday at its regular July meeting held at the REO Town Depot.

David Price (At-Large) was re-elected as chair and begins his third one-year term leading the BWL Board of Commissioners. Mark Alley (Second Ward) was elected vice chair. Alley replaces Dennis Louney (First Ward), who served as vice chair for one year.

The Board also officially welcomed Stuart Goodrich, who will serve as the non-voting member representing Delhi Township for one year, replacing Mike Froh of Meridian Twp. Goodrich was elected to the position of trustee for Delhi Township in 1992 and served 10 years as the Delhi Township Supervisor. Goodrich has also owned and worked at Goodrich Optical on South Pennsylvania in Lansing since its opening in 1968.

The BWL Board of Commissioners is made up of eight Lansing residents, each appointed for a four-year term on the Board by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council, and three non-voting members representing outside service territories. Commissioners serve without pay.
