Mark Alley joined Emergent BioSolutions in March 2010 as the senior director of risk management and public affairs after a 24-year career with the Lansing Police Department in Lansing, Michigan.  In February 2011 Alley was given the additional responsibility of Corporate Security for the entire company.

David Price is the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners and the Chairperson of the Executive Committee. Commissioner Price serves as a member of the Human Resource Committee and is an Alternate member on the Finance Committee. A 23-year resident of Lansing, David J. Price was appointed by the Lansing City Council to the Board of Water & Light Board of Commissioners on February 23, 2011.

Ken Ross

Ken Ross has extensive experience working in the political and regulatory arenas at the state and national level with an emphasis on the financial service sector. After graduating from the U of M-Dearborn, double-majoring in Philosophy and Political Science, Ken ran his first successful state house campaign and began working as Chief of Staff for a State House member, working on insurance, banking, local government and election law.

William Long

Non-Voting Advisory Member (Commissioner)

William (Bill) Long is a Non-Voting Advisory Member (Commissioner) of the Board of Commissioners representing utility customers in Delta Township. Commissioner Long is a “semi-retired” attorney and consultant to non-profit agencies. He serves as an Independent Arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association and Michigan Employment Relations Commission labor panels.

Robert Nelson (Bob) is a Non-Voting Advisory Member (Commissioner) of the Board of Commissioners representing utility customers in East Lansing. Mr. Nelson is a graduate of Michigan Law School and Wayne State University. He worked as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Ingham County Prosecutors Office and a Trial Attorney with the FCC.
