Board of Water & Light Adopts Community Sponsorship Policy

The Board of Water & Light's Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, July 24, adopted a Community Sponsorship Policy that formalizes a BWL tradition of sponsoring non-profit events and programs. Sponsorships by the BWL totaled more than $150,000 in Fiscal Year 2006-07. This included bigger events such as the BWL Chili Cook-off (more than $35,000 was donated to non-profits).

Sponsorships also include smaller donations such as bottled water, golf outings, and advertisements for programs and events.
