Q. How do I receive and pay Lansing Board of Water
& Light eBills?
A. Instead of
receiving a paper bill through the mail, you'll view
your LBWL bill online. Each month, you will receive
an e-mail message alerting you that a new eBill is available
for your review online. You simply review it and, with
the click of a mouse, decide what date to pay your Lansing
Board of Water & Light bill online. It takes at
least two business days to process payments, so you
must schedule your payment no later than two business
days prior to the due date to avoid a possible charge.
Your payment will be drawn from your bank account on
the date you specify. You can specify a payment date
each time you receive your bill or you can schedule
it to be paid automatically on a recurring date. You
can cancel LBWL eBill Presentment service at any time
and once again begin receiving paper bills with your
next billing cycle. As with all LBWL payment methods,
payments posted after the due date will result in a
5% delayed payment charge.
Customers already set up to pay with Automatic Bank
Deduction or Automatic Credit Card Payment, may use
LBWL eBill Presentment service to read their bill electronically,
but should not use the option to pay online. This would
duplicate their payment.

Q.
When will my payment be posted to my account?
A. Payments will
post to your account on the scheduled payment date.
The system begins processing payments two (2) business
days prior to their scheduled payment date, so customers
need to arrange for payment a few days prior to their
bill due date to avoid late fees. The system will not
accept same day payment and may not accept next day
payment. However, through this service, payments can
be scheduled up to a year in advance. A payment scheduled
to be received on a weekend or a holiday, will automatically
be adjusted to fall on the previous business day. Paying
bills electronically enhances your ability to control
your payments, allowing you to better manage your cash
flow and avoid late fees.

Q. How secure is my bill payment and personal information?
A. Your online
payments are safe and secure. Lansing Board of Water
& Light uses state of the art encryption which makes
your personal information unreadable as it passes over
the Internet. If you do not have a browser with 128-bit
encryption, you will be prompted online to upgrade your
web browser (Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet
Explorer) to this encryption level. Refer to CheckFree's
Guarantee and Privacy
Policy for more information.

Q. What is Lansing Board of Water & Light's online
