Traffic Light
Service Rate 11
This rate is for political subdivisions and state agencies
operating traffic lights
Space Conditioning
and Electric Water Heating Service Rate 12
This rate is for commercial or industrial customers with electric
space heating or water heating
Residential
Senior Citizen Rate 21
This rate is for residential customers 65 years or older with
low monthly usage. This rate is not recommended for customers
who consume more than 620 KWH per month.
Street Lighting
Service Rate 31
This rate is for BWL-owned street lighting systems
Street Lighting

This rate is for customer-owned street lighting systems
Energy Cost Adjustment
This describes how monthly bills will be affected by the changing
costs of fuel, power purchases, and other factors
Scheduled Curtailment
Service Rider
This rider is for Rate 5 customers who, at the Board's discretion,
can curtail their load by 1,000 KW or more
Renewable
Energy Rider
This rider is for customers who wish to meet some or all of
their monthly energy needs with electricity produced from
renewable resources or "green power". The customer
will pay a premium of up to $7.50 per month for each block
of renewable energy they purchase.
Infrastructure Recovery Rider
This rider's primary purpose is to encourage economic
development in the Board of Water and Light service area and
recover those expenses necessary to provide electric
distribution infrastructure from customers receiving retail
electric service from the BWL on qualifying property.
Street
Light Rider
The primary purpose of this rider is to enhance
economic recovery & development in the Board of Water and Light (BWL)
service area. It is available when, in the utility’s sole judgment, the
availability of the rider is a major factor in improving our regional
economy, and when application of the rider will result in a net benefit
to the BWL and its customers.
