BWL to power up Michigan’s largest solar array

Lansing Board of Water & Light General Manager J. Peter Lark will launch the BWL into the Age of Solar Energy, as we begin delivering solar-generated electricity to Lansing-area homes.

When: 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 23.

Where: The 100 block of South Cedar Street, directly south of the Stadium District condominiums. The ceremony will be held at street level on the east side of Cedar Street.

What: Mr. Lark will “throw the switch”, allowing solar-generated electricity to begin streaming into the BWL’s power grid.

Details: To be announced at the event.

Parking: Limited parking is available in the Stadium District parking lot. There is metered, street-level parking nearby.
