BWL announces two key promotions in the company's electric utility operations
Lansing Board of Water & Light General Manager J. Peter Lark has announced two key promotions within the company.
Lynn Munroe has been named the BWL’s Manager of Electric System Operations. She was formerly the Supervisor of System Operations.
Alan Carroll has been named the company’s Manager of Electric System Integrity. Carroll was formerly the BWL’s Principal Engineer of Transmission and Distribution Maintenance.
“The experience and skills that Ms. Munroe and Mr. Carroll bring to these positions will serve the BWL well in providing safe, reliable and quality electric service to our customers,” Lark said. “The BWL was recently recognized as one of the most reliable electric utility providers in the nation. I am confident that Ms. Munroe and Mr. Carroll will further our strong reputation for service reliability.”
Munroe has more than 23 years’ experience in the electric utility field. She began work at the BWL as a plant operator at the Eckert Power Station, and has held several positions since then. Munroe holds North American Electric Reliability Council certification as a reliability coordinator.
Carroll has more than 21 years in the electric utility field. He began his BWL career as an electrical development engineer. Carroll is a graduate of Michigan Technological University, and is a State of Michigan licensed journeyman electrician. He is a board member of the Central Michigan Electrical Association.
The BWL is Michigan’s largest public utility and is the 30th largest public utility in the United States.
