BWL’s Sue Warren given Energy Optimization Leadership award from MMEA
The Lansing Board of Water & Light’s Manager of Energy and Eco-
Strategies, Sue Warren, was recently honored with an Energy Optimization
Leadership award by the Michigan Municipal Electric Association.
Warren, who heads up the BWL’s energy efficiency programs, was
honored for “outstanding work and leadership provided to the members of
the Michigan Municipal Electric Association in drafting Energy
Optimization Plans required by Public Act 295 of 2008.”
Warren was instrumental in assisting 29 other Michigan municipal
utilities in designing their state-mandated Energy Optimization programs.
She also assisted those utilities with filing Energy Optimization plans with
the Michigan Public Service Commission.
Warren has worked for the BWL for 12 years.
The BWL is Michigan’s largest public utility, and was the first utility
in Michigan to begin an Energy Optimization program. The BWL’s
