BWL employees to hold first-ever
All for EVE Coat Drive
Lansing Board of Water & Light employees will spend this Saturday
conducting a community-wide coat drive to benefit EVE’s House in
Lansing.
The first “All for EVE Coat Drive” will take place from 9 a.m. to 5p.m. Saturday Jan. 14 in the BWL parking lot at the southwest corner of
South Pennsylvania Avenue and Hazel Street, one block south of Interstate
496.
New and gently-used coats, any size and for any season, will be
accepted. The coats will be distributed free to deserving families being
served by EVE’s House. Cash donations will be accepted as well, with all
proceeds going to EVE’s House.
BWL employees will hand out free hot coffee and hot cocoa to
anyone who stops by.
“I’m very proud of our employees who, on their own, created this
grassroots coat drive,” said BWL General Manager J. Peter Lark. “It’s the
latest example of our employees living out our slogan, ‘Hometown People.
Hometown Power.’ They love to be involved in community events,
especially those events that assist others in need.”
