Our Spring 2008 Adopt A River Day launched our first annual poster contest. Schoolchildren from across Greater Lansing can compete, and the winning poster becomes the official Adopt A River poster for that entire year.  Each spring, more than 500 volunteers scour the riverfront to clean and beautify the Grand and Red Cedar rivers. Our award-winning Adopt A River program has become a model for other communities.
