Summary of BWL Steam Rates

General Steam Service Rate 1
This rate is for any customer receiving steam from the distribution system with a maximum gauge pressure of 15 pounds per square inch.

Industrial Steam Service Rate 2
This rate is for industrial customers taking service at any BWL plant wall at a minimum gauge pressure of 250 pounds per square inch

General Steam Service Rate 3
This rate is for customers who enter into a steam supply contract with the BWL and receive steam service from the transmission or distribution system at gauge pressures in excess of 100 pounds per square inch.

Residential Steam Service Rate 5
This rate is available to any singe-family or multi-family dwelling of 4 units or less when the entire service requirements are supplied at one point of delivery through one meter.

Fuel Cost Adjustment
This permits the monthly adjustments of rates for the costs of fuel incurred in supplying steam to customers.

Steam Environmental Charge
The Environmental Charge permits the recovery of environmental remediation expenses incurred as a result of supplying steam. All residential, general service, and industrial rates are subject to the Environmental Charge.
