Public Power Week - Reo Cogeneration Plant Tour and Education Day
Join us for Public Power Week – REO Education Day and get a behind-the-scenes look at how BWL delivers safe, reliable and affordable energy to the greater Lansing area.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tour our REO Cogeneration Plant, BWL's first natural gas-fired power plant. Operational since 2013, the plant generates up to 300,000 pounds of steam per hour and 100 megawatts of electricity.
Before or after the tour, visit the REO Depot, where staff will be on hand to share more about BWL, our history, energy projects and public power.
***Tours are 30 minute slots starting at 12pm and concluding at 2pm. Minors must be at least 10 years old and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
